Carrigart Presbyterian Church is a detached four-bay single-storey Presbyterian church with
projecting porch and steeple to east and vestry to west.
From the days of the Plantation of Ulster the Presbyterians in this area were in a minority and had to travel as far as Ramelton to worship. Carrigart congregation was formed in 1844 and the first minister, Rev Francis McClure, was ordained on 13 March 1844. The church was united with Milford from 1937 - 1951 and then with Dunfanaghy from 1 May 1951. The first minister of the new joint charge was Rev Peace Montgomery who had been a missionary with the English Presbyterian Church in China.
