The Acts of the Apostles is the Biblical “sequel” of the Gospel according to Luke.
The sequel proves just as dramatic as the original as the Kingdom of God strikes back, following resurrection and ascension with empowerment and the establishing of a global missionary fellowship the New Testament calls ‘church’. The opposition thought they had won when Christ was on the cross but they were wrong. Thought they could contain the situation when He disappeared back to heaven. Wrong again.
Twenty-one centuries later and our Master is still going strong! Despite the desperate attempts of enemies to snuff us out, despite our own foolish tendency to self-destruct, Jesus will build His Church, and in the Pentecost-power of His Holy Spirit, His Church will prevail!
